Our teachers have the ability
and are sensitive to the needs of each and every child. A ratio
of 1 teacher per 12 children is maintained. Foster City Preschool
and Day Care Center's primary goal is to serve the children
by offering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young
children between the ages 2 thru 6. School is open year round.
Toilet training is available. We believe in providing the child
with individual learning objectives, direct teaching and styles
of learning, environmental structure and reinforcement through
the use of learning material and meaningful curriculum.
Instruction
is based on positive reinforcement for individual skill levels.
The curriculum is programmed in the areas of language development,
gross motor, fine motor, arts and crafts, music and science.
Incorporated also will be field trips, gymnastics, and computers.

The children will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at
school on Monday, March 17th, by wearing something GREEN to school.
They will enjoy shamrock milkshakes for snack. Parents can sign
up to bring in vanilla ice cream. We are aware of the children
who cannot have cow’s milk.
We know how much fun the children have at their
birthday party at school. The “simple” parties are the best parties.
Instead of a birthday cake, please bring unfrosted cupcakes or
muffins, brownies, cookies, jello squares, or anything bite sized.
Instead of goodie bags, it would be great for the birthday child
to donate a game, a puzzle, an educational or G-rated video, or
a book to the classroom.
Put your child’s name and birthday on the item, then
have your child bring the wrapped gift to their class. It will
be quite an event for your child to open the gift and the whole
class to enjoy it together. By the end of the year, each class
will have quite a birthday library.
Please make sure your child always has a change
of clothes in his/her classroom. We are not able to keep extra
clothing at the school. If there is an “accident” and your child
doesn’t have any extra clothes, we will have to call you at work.
Also, please make sure the clothing is appropriate for the current
weather and is the correct size! |
